My friend and I had birthday coupons, both under the same name, unfortunately thinking we could use two since the recipient of these coupons did, in fact, receive 2 coupons. (Fine print did say only one was credible, however -), I specifically asked if my coupon could be used to split a stable of four pancakes into two different flavors. Our server went to the manager to ask, she said yes. Both my friend and i attempted to hand our server the coupons right after ordering, but said she would take them after the meal. AFTER our meal, the manager came up and told us that the coupon could only be applied to one person, even though 2 were sent. She spoke to me condescendingly, trying repeatedly to tell me the policy of using only one. I repeatedly told her that I completely understand that, that is not the issue. I would not have ordered the amount of food that I did had I been told same name, one coupon. The waitress could have mentioned that sincere I asked her a question about it at the beginning of the meal before even ordering, she saw the name on my coupon as well as my friend's, they were the same name. The manager did not compensate for lack of her employee's knowledge and her failure to teach them the chain's policies.
I am extremely disappointed in the customer service I received here last night. First server was incredibly rude, and was replaced by a fabulous server without us asking for a new server.
It gets one star simply because negative stars aren't an option. How does a restaurant that is "famous" for breakfast not have coffee? Or how can a cashier not cash someone out? The only pleasant part of the entire experience is the joke my father and I now have when deciding where to go to breakfast.
Sometimes good. Mostly bad. I don't think I'll go back after the last time.
The restaurant was half busy, five waiters and a busboy were on the floor. We waited at the door for two minutes every single one of them looked at us and did not even acknowledge us. Very pathetic in that regard.
Great food, Helpful & Friendly Servers in an attractive clean environment with Great Hot Coffee on these especially cold days.
The management should be able to do better.
Honestly every single time my husband and I try to give this location another chance just because it's nearest to us, we end up walking back out. We started just going to the Livonia instead. The last time we went they had only two servers. It was packed just at the door. The time management sucks, their servers are so little, the food takes 40 minutes. Never coming to this one again. At the Livonia location, the minute I walk in, I am IMMEDIATELY seated, my order is taken and served in a timely manner. The servers there are polite
Impressed with this IHOP over others esp. Cleanliness, freshness of the food and Professionalism of the Staff in a 24 hr establishment during a late night visit.
